How To ~ Design a Cover

Everyones first impression of the yearbook comes from the cover. Usually the cover features the theme and the year (the year the current school year ends).

In 1998 it cost $500.00 for a full process color photo on the cover.

If you use a computer graphics program such as PhotoShop or PaintShop Pro to create the cover it must be:

  • resolution = 300dpi
  • size = 17.3 wide x 11.3 high inches (44cm x 29cm or 104 x 68 picas)
  • saved in TIFF format
  • uncompressed
